I am a native French Speaker and I also a fluent speaker of Abbey (my African Language from the Ivory Coast), Spanish in addition to English. I also speak German at an advanced level and Portuguese at an intermediate level. If you are truly dedicated to learning French or Spanish, sign up to learn with me. Whether it is young students or adult learners, I always teach my pupils how to be proficient communicators in Spanish. I want my students to feel confident that they will be understood when living or traveling in any Spanish-speaking country. My teaching style is to fully immerse students in the culture and language. I am fully fluent in Spanish and have a love of Spanish literature. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Puerto Rico. I moved to New York City to further my studies and to put my English speaking skills to the test by studying at New York University, where I obtained a Master’s in Journalism. I also hold a Master’s in Education from Rutgers University and completed several ACTFL workshops. In addition, I have traveled to several South and Central American countries and I look forward to visiting more as a capstone to my 20-plus years of teaching proficiency in Spanish.

English Classes (ESL)/ Clases de inglés para hablantes no-nativos

Las clases son particulares or semi privadas. Hay que tener un mínimo de 10 años para poder registrarse.

-Meets Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm (From Monday July 27th, 2026
to Friday July 31st, 2026) for 3 hours daily (15 hours total).
-Please plan to attend all sessions. No refund will be issued for missed sessions.

Spanish Beginner's Curriculum (Emphasis on conversation)
-Spanish Beginner’s Basic Curriculum for those 9 – 14 years of age- (group Sessions)
- Course material and curriculum will be provided after registration.
-Emphasis is placed on conversation and the following topics will be covered:
Class commands - Los mandatos en clase
Greetings – Los saludos
The Alphabet – El alfabeto
Subject Pronouns- Los pronombres personales
Verb Conjugation SER – La conjugacióon del verbo SER

Spanish and French Tutoring LLC is a language school with the primary mission of helping each one of its learners (ages 8 and up including adults and professionals) achieve their language goal with the ultimate goal of reaching fluency in Spanish, French, and English as a Second Language. My daughter thoroughly enjoys her private French lessons with Kareen. She always looks forward to their Thursday lessons - and this is a child who will definitely let you know when she doesn’t want to participate in an activity ;). Apart from being such a positive and warm educator, Kareen is super organized and has been flexible with regard to scheduling and adapting the lessons to my daughter’s specific needs. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Kareen!
