I have been a student with Kareen for the past five+ years and I can't recommend her highly enough.
She creates a welcoming and dynamic environment for in person learning and/or online with its own set of intricacies. Her academic experience combined with a wide and varied cultural knowledge provides a genuine appreciation for the language while deepening linguistic skills. Have thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from both the clarity with which she teaches grammar and vocabulary and her skillful integration of cultural insights. My daughters (10 and 8) have had a wonderful journey over the last 3 years learning French with Madame Kareen! She does a great job of customizing the experience (pace, content, lesson length) to meet the needs of each individual student and their temperament. We have enjoyed the positive learning environment she cultivates through her lessons. My family has been working with Kareen for the last 5 years. During Covid, she tutored our boys, then ages 9 and 11. After a year of listening to their lessons, I decided to join in on the fun! Then, last year, my husband started his own lessons. Thanks to Kareen, our now 16 year old is complimented by his high school Spanish teacher as well as Spanish speaking friends on his fluency and mastery of the language. Kareen is a kind, patient (but firm) instructor that makes learning fun. She's encouraging and motivates her students to explore. Our family has certainly benefitted from working with Kareen and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to start from scratch or hone their existing language skills. She's amazing!!
